Element Overland Park is looking for a dependable and hardworking Full-Time Laundry Attendant to join our Housekeeping team.
This position is primarily scheduled 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, based on hotel needs. There may also be opportunities for occasional evening shifts.
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring clean, fresh linens are available for our guests and Housekeeping team. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in keeping the laundry operation clean and efficient.
Your Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel linens, towels, and other laundry items.
- Operate commercial washers, dryers, irons, and other laundry equipment.
- Inspect linens for stains, damage, or excessive wear and remove items that do not meet hotel standards.
- Fold and organize clean linens so they are readily available for the Housekeeping team.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary laundry room throughout the shift.
- Keep laundry carts, shelves, equipment, and surrounding areas clean and organized.
- Monitor laundry supplies and advise the supervisor when additional supplies are needed.
- Assist with receiving and organizing laundry and housekeeping deliveries as needed.
- Maintain proper inventory and organization of linens and supplies.
- Follow all established safety and sanitation procedures.
- Immediately report any malfunctioning equipment, unsafe conditions, or safety incidents to the supervisor or manager on duty.
- Work closely with the Head of Housekeeping and other Housekeeping team members to ensure daily laundry needs are met.
- Assist with light housekeeping duties or special projects as needed.
- May assist with cleaning public areas, guest rooms, or other Housekeeping duties when necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or management.
What We're Looking For:

- Able to follow instructions and established procedures.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced hotel environment.
- Previous hotel, housekeeping, or laundry experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right person.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires the ability to:
- Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds / 23 kilograms.
- Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and lift.
- Push and pull laundry carts and equipment.
- Work around commercial laundry equipment, heat, and cleaning products.
